What we do | Hope for African Communities UK works with the BAME communities in Basildon and surrounding area, tackling loneliness and social isolation. We support the BAME community through projects e.g sewing, baking, bead making and decor. We support them with projects that stimulate their minds because they are done practically. Hope for African Communities work with widows, orphans, girls and vulnerable families in Zimbabwe. We endeavour to achieve this through sustainable projects e.g nutrition gardens, piggery, poultry and fish farming. We have a lot of early marriages and pregnancies because there is nothing for the young generation to do and also sexually transmitted diseases due to lack of awareness. |
