Beauty-not-Cruelty have kindly included Toiletries Amnesty in their article, ‘5 trail blazing charities in need of your unwanted beauty products’.

‘As the wealthy among us panic buy and stock up our already overflowing cupboards, it leaves very little for those that need it and this has also caused the price of some products to inflate dramatically. Even before the outbreak of Covid-19, having to choose between feeding your family, heating your home, paying rent or maintaining personal hygiene was a sad truth for some, but as the country goes on lock down and many face losing jobs or zero work this becomes an increasing reality for more people. No one should have to make this kind of decision,’ writes Faye Carroll from the Beauty-not-Cruelty team.

‘Many of us will have some spare cash now that we’re not buying expensive lunches or spending unnecessary pennies in Boots on our way home. We’ll also have a pile of unwanted items to dispose of if we get through our To Do lists. Although many charities are now having to adhere to the government guidelines and protect their staff and volunteers by remaining at home, we can still help by donating from the comfort of our home so that provisions and support can be provided to those in need.

We don’t charge organisations to list on our directory – toiletries and hygiene products are an essential daily need and we aim to provide free access to toiletries to as many people as we can.

Toiletries Amnesty is self-funded. We don’t receive any government funding or subsidies, but continue to support millions of people every year.
