What we do | "Helping to build positive futures and overcome barriers for people of all ages". YMCA Wirral is the main provider of hostel accommodation for homeless men and women in Wirral with 56 bed spaces in our purpose built supported accommodation. We provide a range of quality supported housing and training programmes for disadvantaged homeless men and women aged 21 years and upwards that helps them in their life journey towards meaningful and sustainable independence. In additional to the hostel, we provide a triage service to anyone in need of emergency over-night accommodation to men and women without a safe place to stay for the night. |
What we accept |
During 2018, we had 4956 visits to our emergency night shelter.
Due to the high volume of homeless men and women using the night shelter we are always in need of toiletries to pass on to our visitors to use for showering and taking care of their personal hygiene.
We would particularly welcome donations of disposable face masks for our most vulnerable clients.
