What we do | Ravensthorpe Community Centre (RCC) was set up in 2000 by group of people, as an independent charity to run a community facility. Our services are divided into 5 segments, Education/Learning, Childcare, Health /Wellbeing, Adult Disability Day Centre, Step Up, and other general community projects which promote cohesion and civic action. We continue to work with localities across North and South Kirklees that have a high concentration of disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities with low literacy and high unemployment, and very low digital skills. Ravensthorpe Community Centre has a proven track record within community learning of having innovative methods for delivering educational courses to help difficult to reach people of all different genders, ethnicities, backgrounds, and ages. We provide food parcels, clothing, toiletries, and household items to vulnerable people in the community and those who are struggling due to deprivation. |
