What we do | Portsmouth City of Sanctuary serves asylum seekers, refugees and migrants escaping persecution, and finding themselves disorientated or isolated. PCoS is a humanitarian, non religious/political local charity leading and supporting many projects for families/at risk women in particular. We provide: Welcome Boxes for new asylum seekers (including refugee nurses to QA Hospital, and Afghan families) dispersed to Portsmouth and Gosport, including key local services information; a post Covid project helping migrants to access dance/sport activities; another integrating migrant and local volunteers; and another creating a network of safe spaces in the city. We will soon launch a new city centre hub at St Luke's Southsea, where refugees can meet, network, and receive direct support in a safe, dignified space. |
What we accept |
Toiletries and cleaning products that we all need, but are most expensive, are the most important. Nappies of varying sizes are vital too.
