| What we do | Our charity was founded in 2006 and aims to be a community development non-profit organization that offers food and basic necessities to those in need amongst our local community. We offer contributions to all members of society and we offer free food between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. We are passionate about what we do and the difference it makes to the lives of others especially regarding our food bank where we offer a sense of comfort and dignity to those who may visit our Arabica café, not only for the sole purpose of receiving hot food and drinks but to also share a glimpse of community spirit, warmth, compassion and social interaction with our friendly staff. We currently serve over 1250 service users per week and over 5,000 on a monthly bases, including food parcel every Friday from 2pm to 4pm. We distribute food parcels to over 200 individuals and homes weekly. We also offer laundry services, counselling, games, music for relaxation and barbing service to our service users. A 100% donations policy means every single penny donated is used strictly for charitable efforts. Donations go into a ‘charity-only’ bank account from which nothing is removed for fundraising or administration costs. |
