What we do | We are an Alernative Diverse Education Provider and we work closely with young people from 14 to 24 years of age. We are a non profit making organisation and we return any profits to the work we do with our young people. We have been in operation from March 2012 and we have a 2nd school based in West Yorkshire - Huddersfield where our work is as much in need as it is in Liverpool. Our young people have SEN and Neuro Diverse needs and many come from very diverse backgrounds and with many families in greatest of needs in the communities around Merseyside. We offer an Alternative Education programme for Young People not a Less than education programme for young people who are no longer in main stream education. WE also run a Youth Hub with older young people again working with those in highest levels of needs around Education, Training and Enterprise. |
What we accept |
We have 100 plus young people who we work with and closely with their siblings and family - we create hygiene packs for our young people as many families find toiletries and hygiene products are financially often out of their affordability.
We really would appreciate unused toiletries as there is a huge stigma around young people feeling like getting charity or being given anything and we feel that only unused items would be appreciated and would not feed into the stigma of needing support due to financial poverty.
Period poverty is a huge thing for us and we receive no statutory funding and are not fee paying so we really need to focus our funding on curriculum, education, training, mentoring and creating life skills for young people.
We need funding for these items as we use our fundraising and donations to support our families and young people more in the pastoral and non academic areas.
