What we do | We listen. We support. We care. Black Country Women’s Aid is an independent charity which has supported survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence in the West Midlands for 30 years. Our Support Our sensitive and holistic support helps over 9000 victims of abuse each year to escape from violence, cope with trauma and rebuild their lives. Our diverse range of services include: domestic abuse refuge and community support; rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse support; forced marriage and honour based violence support; children and young people’s services; therapeutic services; and support for female offenders and women with complex needs. We have 6 refuges and currently have 65 women and 54 children in our care. Our Modern Day Slavery support service looks after over 300 survivors in the community with more than half being male. Our new project called The Willow supports homeless women. We answer day and night and believe nobody shoud have to live in fear. |
What we accept |
We make up welcome packs of tolietries so when women and children arrive at refuge they have the vital essentials they need. All types of toiletres are needed.
We need constant supplies of male toiletries to give to victms of modern day slavery who we support within the community.
We would really welcome donations for babies such as steralising units, bottles, nappies, wipes ,shampoo, baby cream.
We look after homeless women so sanitary wear, dry shampoo and deodarnt would be really appreciated.
