Here are some testimonials from organisations we support, their service users who have received support through donations of toiletries and hygiene products, kind individuals and companies who have made donations and other supporters of Toiletries Amnesty.
We love the work of Toiletries Amnesty. They have created a solution lead pathway for a circular economy model in the spa and beauty sector, helping our industry operators and suppliers to review the word ‘waste’ and think more about re-use and re-purpose of materials before assigning them to landfill. Sustainability is so much more than just the packaging and what’s in the product. It’s all the behaviours that we have created for the consumer too that has ended up in a lot more waste.
Lucy Brialey, Co-founder of Sustainable Spa Association
X Foundation chose the Toiletries Amnesty for its identification and innovative reversal of what is a common household issue into a positive result for those in need. The initiative has the means to be a global vehicle for good and for the care of others less fortunate […] It is accessible, honourable and holds the potential for rapid growth to achieve good.

Through Toiletries Amnesty’s invaluable assistance and collaboration, we have successfully extended our outreach efforts and launched a third branch of my charity, a toiletries bank, specifically dedicated to providing essential hygiene products to individuals and families experiencing hardship. This has been instrumental in fulfilling our mission of helping those in need and promoting their overall well-being.
Dr Anika Walia, Anika Food Charity
Having discovered Toiletry Amnesty, I knew I found the ideal place to donate – with connections to charities all over the UK, I was glad that my products would go to helping as much people as possible, all around the country.
Rhiannon Derbyshire, Style Writer
I wonder if the people who donate all the toiletries know how much difference they make? Thank you to all the kind people out there

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation of toiletries for our staff and patients. Your kindness is greatly appreciated by everyone at Kilbryde Hospice!
It is so heartwarming for us to know that Kilbryde Hospice still has the on-going support of the local community to help us to continue to provide the much-needed care to our patients and their families.
Kilbryde Hospice
This year specifically has been difficult for our centre members, with the continually evolving Covid situation, the Afghan crisis and looming Borders Bill. We really feel this year especially is a time when they deserve to be treated. The donation we’ve so graciously been given from Sanctuary Spa via Toiletries Amnesty have helped us reach our gift goal. How fitting, too, that they are both practical and special all at once. We are so incredibly and wonderfully grateful.
St Augustine’s Centre, Halifax
Thank you so much for sending HOPE a lovely parcel full of goodies! It’s really great, we do have quite a few males here too so the men’s shampoo will go down a treat! There’s some fab things in our box, we’re going to be using the bags that were in there as little goody bags which will be filled with essentials such as a toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo etc, things that people who come and stay with us probably don’t have – things most of us take for granted… so thank you very much!
HOPE
We are so grateful for the donation of items we received through Toiletries Amnesty. We provide accommodation and support to people who are at risk of homelessness, abuse and other disadvantages and this donation will make a huge difference. The people that we support deserve more than just the essentials – they deserve indulgent items and positive experiences, and we are so thankful this donation has enabled us to provide just that. this donation will really help our beneficiaries on their journey to recovery.
Harbour Housing
Toiletries aren’t a luxury item they are a necessary item, not being able to feel clean affects a person’s mental health, their general wellbeing. Being able to give families a bag of toiletries that can last a week or a month makes a huge difference to them financially as well as emotionally. The ‘spare’ money is often put towards bills or food shopping. We as a charity rely on donations of toiletries to support the work we do; we are so grateful to Toiletries Amnesty.
The Baby Bank
As a charity we would never be able to buy products of this quality for our patients and carers. As our patients are all approaching the end of their lives, we do all we can to improve the quality of their lives, receiving such amazingly generous donations helps us to do this. We can’t thank you enough.
The Prince of Wales Hospice

Ladies of the Rock
Refugees need toiletries just like the rest of us, but these are often expensive items and for refugees with barely any funds it can be impossible for them to afford these items. When we hand out toiletries at our aid distributions they are always very gratefully received.

When I arrived at YMCA Wirral I had very few possessions. In my room waiting for me was a welcome pack filled with lots of different toiletries and a few treats. For the first time in ages, I was able to have a hot shower, wash my hair and feel clean and smell good.
To think that someone, who doesn’t know me, was kind enough to think of me in my desperate situation was like receiving a warm hug.

We were very grateful for the generous donation of cosmetic products. We have a lot of people who come along to our community larder who will be delighted to receive some of these lovely items. It will be a real boost as times are hard for many of them just now and I am sure this will go a long way to helping with self-care and self-esteem.

We are 100% over the moon with the amazing donation. We are helping lots of women in emergency refuge at the moment and its important they get a little treat on top of essentials. Thank you again. It makes a huge difference. Toiletries Amnesty has allowed a stream of reliable products, essential to the ongoing work we provide as an organisation. Due to the wide demographic range of those we support any item donated can be used. This allows a huge saving for us as an organisation and allows for products to be salvaged and reused as opposed to creating unnecessary waste.

We have received many generous donations, from male grooming products that were greatly appreciated by our patients and carers to amazing skin care products that our patients and carers loved but also our staff who are having to wear PPE continually while at work. 2020 was a difficult year for everyone, but throughout the year we were amazed by kindness of strangers who sent us parcels large and small from all parts of the UK, filled full of toiletries for our homeless clients. The donations have brought happiness and hope to staff and clients in such difficult times. Thank you, Toiletries Amnesty, for making this happen.
YMCA Wirral
It’s something like this little bit of luxury in someone’s life when they barely have the basics to survive makes a world of difference.
Alice Charity
Thank you so much. We have given the hand sanitisers out across our community to those I need. A large proportion has gone to Hillingdon Hospital for their new bereavement suite and some for-patient care packs that they are giving out. We have also given some to the Alexander Devine Hospice and the London Community Kitchen, as well as to other service users in the community that we are supporting. Thank you so much for the donation, it has made such a difference to our charity and the people we are supporting.
Serving our Superheroes
We received a donation of hand sanitisers, and they couldn’t of come at a better time. The donation has meant that every food parcel that we send out to our families we can add that little extra protection for themselves and their children and with the level of deprivation that we see at times this is the last thing on people’s minds. So, thank you, there are a lot more people in our area that are now keeping their hands sanitised and reducing the risk of spreading this terrible virus, added to the fact that it smells absolutely amazing.
Alice Charity
If it were not for the kindness of people like yourself and the support you give, the women and children would not have nice things to cheer them up at a difficult time. Many of our families arrive with nothing having in many cases left everything behind, so it is so good to be able to give them something nice. Thank you all once again.
