We are thrilled to announce the release of a stunning new art print called ‘Most Wanted 2020’ by printmaker Louise Stebbing, to be sold for Toiletries Amnesty.
Not only has Louise won multiple awards, been exhibited at the Royal Academy, and has her work in V&A collections, she’s also a big supporter of Toiletries Amnesty and is donating 100% of the print sales to helping end hygiene poverty.
’Most Wanted 2020 was created in response to current global issues and the reaction some people have to such a drastic time. It is about making a remark about the things the public seem to find the most necessary in a time of crisis – almost causing another crisis in their wake. I created the linocut to sell for charity to try to give something back in these hard times.’ – Louise Stebbing, Printmaker.
The three-colour linocut depicts some of the household essentials that UK shoppers were stockpiling before the coronavirus lockdown, including toilet roll, soap, and hand sanitiser. It’s a quirky look at a serious matter, and we can all associate with it.
Louise has produced a limited edition of just 30 prints in her Norfolk studio, all hand-printed on her historical Britannia Press with specialist inks and paper. Each print is signed and numbered, and costs £85 including postage and packaging.
Knowing that we won’t all have the budget, but we still might want to buy a print, Louise has also released a run of 100 reproduction prints. These prints will be signed and sold for just £20 each (including P&P).
Whether you want to buy a print for yourself, or to send as a gift to a friend or family, every penny you spend (after the P&P costs) will go directly to helping end hygiene poverty, and we are very grateful for that.
