In their East London workshop, the HOMEWORK team produce beautiful handmade soap bars from 100% natural botanical ingredients and essential oils. Handmade in small batches, using the cold process method, their soaps are vegan and cruelty free, contain no palm oil, artificial fragrances or colourants and no parabens or SLS, and their packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
Everything is considered, including the perfect appearance. The process of making these soaps means that sometimes there are aesthetic seconds, perfectly good and useful, but not perfect in shape or form.
We are delighted to be able to team up with HOMEWORK for this, the first of many soap donations. 144 bars of soap made their way to some of the Toiletries Amnesty groups that most need them this week. And there’s more to come!
‘A big thank you from YMCA North London for the beautiful handmade soap we received today. The residents were really pleased and it flew off the donations shelf we have set up in out canteen area. This will make essential handwashing much more pleasant. Keep up the good work it is really making a difference.’ – Lucy Brotherston, Education, Training and Employment Coordinator, YMCA North London.
‘Thank you so much for the soap. Our residents are extremely grateful, we have also managed to keep some for future residents who, being homeless, may have nothing at all when they come.’ – Emma Mizen, Engagement Worker, Jigsaw Support.
If you are a company and would like to donate please get in touch. We help homeless shelters, food banks, NHS trust services, refugee support groups and many other organisations who really need our help right now.
