Photography organisation Shutter Hub are teaming up with the beautiful Gallery at Home in Monmouthshire, Wales to create an exhibition of photography called HOME, in support of homelessness charities across the UK.
They’re asking photographers to donate images that can be printed and sold to raise money for the charities, and help more people get the chance to know what home really feels like.
Home can be found in a person, or a memory. Scars and skin, pin boards of photographs with frayed edges. Freckled noses, specks of dust in the light, long dark shadows and perspectives. Home can be anything, anywhere.
What does home mean to you?
Most of us are lucky enough to be able to answer that question, but for some people it’s not so easy. Shutter Hubs wants to create a multifarious exhibition on the theme of HOME, and they are inviting photographers to share their images in order to raise funds for Crisis, Shelter Cymru and Toiletries Amnesty.
This is a brilliant way to showcase your photography, connect with other like minded people and support the charities you care about.
The exhibition will run from 5th – 19th October 2019 with a Private View event on Saturday 5th October. The prints will also be for sale online, for £35 each (and will make great gifts, for yourself if you like!)
The entry fee (£8 per image Shutter Hub members / £15 per image non members) will go towards the facilitation of the exhibition, and all profits from the print sales will be donated. Everything will be printed by the generous exhibition sponsors, MPrint, so all you need to do is upload your images and wait to see if they are selected for this awesome (it’s going to be big!) exhibition!
The deadline for entries is 5pm BST on 20th August 2019, and you can find all the information, and entry form, here: https://shutterhub.org.uk/home-charity-exhibition/
