This month we were delighted to hear from Katie Groombridge who kindly raised £68.76 for Toiletries Amnesty with an online Body Shop at Home event.
“I want to get more involved with charities this year. Its a personal goal of mine. As some who is very lucky to be able to live the life I live its very important to me to help those less fortunate. I think the Toiletries Amnesty has an amazing reach. I don’t think people realise the importance of schemes like this and how much they really help people that are often forgotten about. There’s a lot of basics we take for granted but not everybody can have this. That to me just seems wrong.” said Katie.
Later in the year Katie will be holding a Christmas fundraiser, so people who are buying their Body Shop Christmas gifts can support the Toiletries Amnesty at the same time. Keep an eye on our newsletter and social media, and we’ll share the details as soon as we have them!
We are really grateful for the support of people like Katie who go out of their way to make a difference. If you’d like to organise a fundraiser for Toiletries Amnesty we’d love to hear from you.
