What we do | Foodhall is a community and cultural centre in Sheffield. We have a multi-award-winning open public community kitchen, social eating space, social art gallery, workshops, pottery facilities, we also support with wellbeing and host a number of other initiatives. We operate using an alternative economy each other offering time skills and money, engage in creative activity and build community developing new ways of exchange and working with each other. Foodhall is managed in an open co-operative way, using new models of collective organising to actively solve some of societies biggest issues, tackling social isolation, encouraging integration and making a real difference where it matters the most. The big mission? To bring everyone together and make the world a brighter place. We broadly accommodate any and all activity that does this. During the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic our emergency food parcel response has fed over 13,000 people in the City, and volunteers have given over 7,000 hours of their time. |
